I love the steamy romance in this book and the way that Ty and Jamie gradually learn to trust each other. 3. “The Darkest Hour” This is the third and final book in the Breathless series, and it’s my favorite of the three. It tells the story of Jack, a former Navy SEAL, and Emily, a journalist. They first meet when Jack is on a mission to protect Emily from a dangerous terrorist, and they quickly fall in love. I love the suspenseful plot of this book and the hot romance between Jack and Emily.
